Nos encantó este video clip producido por los amigos y colegas de Agúzate.org, que da evidencia de los grandes talentos y la linda fusión de Gabriel Alegría y su sexteto en actuación aquí en Chicago y en particular, vemos cómo uno de los integrantes, el maestro Freddy “Huevito” Lobatón, domina la perscusión en todos los sentidos …al cajón, a la quijada y a todo cuerpo. We loved this video clip produced by our friends and colleagues at Agúzate.org, which shows quite clearly the enormous talent and wonderful fusion created by Gabriel Alegría and the members of his sextet, in performance here in Chicago, a sextet which counts amongst its members the extraordinary maestro Freddy “Huevito” Lobatón, who plays the cajón, the quijada (jawbone) and indeed his entire body is a magnificent percussive intrument. Totally afroperuvian, and totally jazz. A place where both sources of the music keep their integrity and yet create a wonderfully fresh texture. Cien por ciento afroperuano, y cien por ciento jazz.
