I’ll be interviewing several of the members of Bajofondo a little later on today, as they are in town beginning a three-week tour throughout the U.S. The group is a collective of eight extremely talented musicians, including Gustavo Santaolalla who has 11 Grammy’s and two Oscars to his credit, along with just simply being an individual who has been making musical history for the last several decades. Bajofondo’s music is considered one of the first in what has now become a newer genre: electronic tango, electrotango, but they really prefer not to use that term. I’ll be asking them what they would rather call their music, so tune in later...In the meantime, listen to Tuve Sol, and if you are in the Chi-town area, consider rushing to House of Blues to catch what is sure to be a terrific show tonight.
