On the Latino front, for the first time in Chicago: the collective Novalima mixing afroperuvian rhythms with reggae, hip hop and electronica, from Perú (via Hong Kong, London, Barcelona and Lima, where it´s founders are based); the awesome Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán with all that soul-filled music that is at the heart of Mexico, and Cimarrón, pulsating, shimmering, percussive harp and steaming footwork from the eastern plains of Colombia.
