Israeli world music superstar Idan Raichel took a few minutes while on the road to chat with us about the acoustic project he is bringing to Chicago.

Raichel has gained renown for his innovative structuring of a musical collective that draws from a group of nearly 100 musicians of widely varying ages. All of these musicians have highly successful individual solo careers, but come together joyfully in differing configurations on a fairly regular basis to travel from country to country and perform and record as part of the ever-evolving “Idan Raichel Project”.
