Global Notes: The Manana Music Festival

The restoration of political relations between America and Cuba in 2015 is bringing more than the Rolling Stones to the island. From May 4 through 6, Santiago de Cuba hosted Manana, the first ever electronic and Afro-Cuban fusion festival.
On this week’s Global Notes, Catalina Maria Johnson, host and producer of Beat Latinoon Vocalo, visits Worldview to share unforgettable musical moments from the inaugural version of Manana Fest, where the audience witnessed the first live musical mash up of the 21st century and Cuban centuries past.
