This week Beat Latino gets all extra tropical and trippy, with an hour of psychedelic tunes past and present. Whether cumbia, chicha, or jungle-tinged beats it’s in our blood! So says Colombian musican Nicolas Vallejo (from La MiniTK del Miedo)  in an excellent piece by Marlon Bishop–which along with another great article in this month’s Songlines UK and a recent interview I did with Efraín Rozas of La Mecánica Popular inspired this week’s musical journey– it’s all part of the indigenous, Amazonic magic that is our heritage. Enjoy!
