We enjoyed visiting with Greek-Venezuelan singer/songwriter Ulises Hadjis all the way to Maracaibo, Venezuela! Hadjis, who was nominated to three 2012 Latin Grammy Award nominations (including “Best New Artist,” as well as “Best Alternative Album,” for Joe’s Bar on Sunday. It was fascinating to hear about his creative process, and along the way we found out that he pursued not just a music career but completed a graduate degree in philosophy, And also learned how philosophy, Greek culture and the Beatles all influenced his music and the thoughtful, delicate ballads he creates.
